MyClip

A project that involves a large amount of text can take longer that you would like, due to the clipboard's limited functionality. If you don't want to copy the same text fragments more than once, you can enhance your clipboard with MyClip. Instead of copying a text fragment each time you want to use it, you can insert it instantly from the clipboard's history. You can edit, bookmark and organize your clipboard items and paste them with simple keyboard combinations.

MyClip is free and it works on all popular Windows platforms. Furthermore, the setup file is only 332 KB, so you can download and install the application in a matter of seconds. Besides that, it does not ask for too many resources and you don't have to install any prerequisite tools or services.

When you copy a text fragment, MyClip will add it to a list, on its compact interface. Obviously, you can add any number of fragments to the list. Right clicking a listed item will reveal a large number of options, for bookmarking the selected fragment, converting the text to upper or lower case and more. Alternatively, you can just select an item and use a series of keyboard shortcuts, for the same effects.

If you hit a Paste option, in any application, MyClip will paste the first entry on its list. You can move any item to the top of the list, by right clicking its entry and selecting an option or by selecting the item and pressing the Enter key. MyClip allows you to set up your own keyboard shortcuts, for numerous actions, on a separate window.

The main interface can be minimized to the system tray and restored with a keyboard shortcut. If you don't want to restore the interface each time you have to paste something, you can use a different keyboard combination, to bring up a smaller clip window. It consists of a similar list, but without a title bar or top menus. The list will appear next to the mouse cursor and you will be able to perform the same operations, on individual clipboard items.

If you bookmark an item, you can use a keyboard shortcut to move it to the top of the list. This gives you the possibility of pasting text fragments, without restoring the main interface or displaying the small clip window.
